The Dialogue
A weekly policy cadence.
Most convening in this sector happens once a year. Regulation does not. The Dialogue operates on a weekly rhythm, a policy cadence rather than a season of events.
Most sessions are working sessions of 12 to 40 people, not broadcasts. No session is held without a named output, a named owner and a publication date.

Executive Dialogues, Clinics and Panels
52 sessions a year. 60 to 75 minutes. By invitation or approved application.
Executive Dialogues are structured discussions of a live regulatory or compliance question, with two to four discussants.
Compliance Clinics are practitioner working sessions on a single implementation problem, such as Travel Rule counterparty due diligence.
Executive Panels are public-facing, recorded, and open to a wider audience.
A topic is scheduled only if it is live in at least one Founding Five jurisdiction within twelve months, at least two constituencies hold materially different views, and a defined output can be produced.
Every session produces a Dialogue Note within five working days, plus entries in our Issue Log, the running register of unresolved regulatory questions by jurisdiction that drives our research agenda.
The Closed-Door Programme
Some conversations cannot happen in public.
A supervisor exploring whether an obligation is proportionate cannot do so on the record without the exploration being read as policy. A firm describing a control weakness attributably invites examination. A bank explaining why it de-risks a client category cannot say so with its name attached.
Our closed-door programme runs strictly under the Chatham House Rule: participants may use what they hear, but may not reveal the identity or affiliation of any speaker or participant.
- Written undertakings before first attendance
- No recording, no transcription, no photography
- Notes taken only by a designated rapporteur and de-identified at source
- No participant list circulated
- One published sanction, applied without exception: a breach ends participation permanently
